Throughout the month of August, each USI office across the country performed local community service. Last year, the company helped over 100 organizations including: food banks, and depositories, animal rescue shelters, senior centers, women’s crisis shelters, Title 1 schools, homeless rescue missions, beautification projects, local zoos, parks and beaches, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Salvation Army, Gilda’s Club, and the United Way.
For the third year in a row, the Savannah branch of the insurance agency chose to volunteer at the Emmaus house. Vice President and Savannah Market Leader at USI Insurance Services, Nick Puhala said, “Having a downtown office, we see the struggles homeless individuals face daily. We felt that the Emmaus House was a very deserving organization right here in our own neighborhood.”
