Office of Public Information and Community Engagement Woodville Tompkins Technical & Career High School students attended the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Region 3 Leadership Conference at Wayne County High School in Jesup, Georgia at an event held in January 2012.
Fifteen young men and women competed in various categories ranging from Technology Concepts to Impromptu Speaking and Job Interview. The evening culminated with eight
Woodville Tompkins FBLA winners advancing to State Level competition competing in Digital Design, Help Desk, Introduction to Technology Concepts, Network Design, Spreadsheet Design, and Client Services.
Georgia Power’s Employer Development Coordinator, Clyde Newton, took a moment during the Student Success Expo held on February 2012 to personally congratulate some of the winners who were volunteering their time at the Cisco Computer Networking booth. Mr. Newton is a Business & Computer Science Advisory Board member and avid supporter of Woodville Tompkins.
On behalf of the Georgia Power Production Management Center, Mr. Newton pledged support of two students advancing to State level competition.

The FBLA State Leadership Conference will be held March 23-25, 2012 in Atlanta, Georgia. The winners would then have the opportunity to compete and possibly advance to FBLA Nationals.
