Williams delivered some much needed information on entrepreneurship to the students in attendance. She is the owner of ICONs Hair Studio and Boutique. Williams spoke of her experience before she became a business owner stating, “I grew up in the family business which is Bynes-Royall Funeral Home (the oldest African American Funeral Service in the country) I worked side by side with my Grandmother, Frenchye Bynes who instilled in me good business work ethics”.
Williams did her home work with preparing a business plan. For months, she studied many business models in Savannah and other cities throughout the southeast. She knew who she wanted as her clientele and she was confident in the services she wanted to offer them. Thus ICONs Hair Studio and Boutique was born.
After 25 years beauty business experience, Williams has expanded ICON’s to the Pooler area ( Hwy 80) offering healthy hair services along with classy boutique accessories.
