Union Mission, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to reducing homelessness throughout the greater Savannah area, recently promoted Luella Sanders to director of finance. In her new position, Sanders’ responsibilities include administering payroll, coordinating year-end audits and implementing updates to accounting programs.

Prior to joining Union Mission, Sanders worked at Heritage Park of Savannah as an accounting manager. Her responsibilities included but maintaining financial files on all residents, supervising the office staff, aiding families with Medicare/Medicaid qualifications and processing accounts receivable and payable.
Sanders received her bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting from Savannah State University in 1999 and her Master of Business Administration from Georgia Southern University in 2003.
