Savannah native and NFL Defensive End (Free Agent), Anthony M. Lanier II, and his non-profit organization, Undefeated Warrior Foundation, will be hosting his Inaugural Turkey and Food Drive on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at the Carver Village Community Center. This is a drive-thru event and families will pop their trunks to receive Thanksgiving bags filled with a frozen turkey and produce as they remain in their cars to mitigate the risk of COVID-19. Lanier has partnered with Food Lion, DTLR’s Season’s Feeding Program, Cumulus Radio Group (E93.1, Magic 103.9), International Diamond Center, and other local Community Partners to serve 200+ families from 10:00a-Noon or while supplies last.
While the Undefeated Warrior Foundation is geared towards youth development and empowerment, Lanier has shifted his focus during the pandemic to provide some relief to families during the holidays. “Even though we weren’t able to have our annual youth football camp due to COVID, I wanted to still find a way to support the community that has supported me throughout my life,” says Lanier.
The Undefeated Warrior Foundation will launch its “1 for 2” campaign in the final week leading up to the Turkey & Food Drive in an effort to make one final push to raise funds for the event. The “1 for 2” campaign urges people to send just $1 towards the Foundation’s goal of serving 200+ families. Monetary donations can be sent via cash app to the Undefeated Warrior Foundation using the cash app tag $AMLII.
