Two Major Headliners to Perform at 30th Savannah Black Heritage Festival

The Mary Davis/ S. O. S. Band will be the featured headliner on Grand Festival Day for the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Savannah Black Heritage Festival. Grand Festival Day will be held at the Savannah Civic Center, February 9, 2019, and the Band is scheduled to perform at 8:00 p.m. Family friendly activities, the youth talent extravaganza and the vendors’ merchandise and food market will be offered. Adults 18 yrs. and older are asked to support the Savannah Black Heritage Festival on Grand Festival Day with a nominal admission fee of $ 5.00. This helps to sustain the festival and its efforts to offer all other programs during the 3-week period, free and open to the public.

Sons of Mystro are brothers and classical violinists who learned to play violin through the public schools of South Florida. They use their violins to interpret reggae classics, American pop songs and their own creations accompanied by beats, and sometimes a DJ & guitarist. They will perform at 7:30 p.m., Friday, February 15th in the Fine Arts Auditorium at Georgia Southern – Armstrong Campus, a co-sponsor for this performance.

Savannah State University and the City of Savannah present the 30th Annual Savannah Black Heritage Festival February 1 – 22, 2019, and investment is provided by the City of Savannah.
