The Savannah Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, Incorporated held its Transitional Retreat on August 13, 2006 at the Con-Ed Building in the Powell Room.
This was a brainstorming session, which allowed outgoing officers and incoming officers to share, discuss objectives, and identify strategies for implementing Programmatic Thrusts, which include Top Teens of America, Status of Women, Senior Citizens, Community Beautification and Community Partnerships.
Ladies in attendance were: President, Annette Mitchell, First Vice, Janie B. Bruen, Second Vice, Daisy Williams, Tara Scott Brown, Beverly Copeland, Stephanie Cutter, Versie DuPont, Omie Flournoy, Carrie Howard, Lynette Hymes, Rosa Jackson, Lori Lewis, Eddie Lee Marsh, Yvonne Oglesby, Shennell Shante’ Reedy, Vanessa Collins-Smith, Carolyn Stanley, Mary L. Walker, and Mary Young.
At the 32nd Syo Lod National Convention held in Cleveland, Ohio, June 22-28, 2009, the Savannah Chapter was awarded recognition as NAACP Chapter Life Membership and placed third in the Lady Willie Lee Glass Award Outstanding Scrapbook. Additionally, the chapter received 3rd place for the Lady Ozell Dean Award for outstanding total programming.
On Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the EOAAnnex, The Savannah Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, Incorporation will host the Georgia Area IV Cluster Meeting with Lady Barbara Travis, National Area IV Director, conducting the scheduled activities.
