The Southern Women’s Show returns to the Savannah


 
 

The Southern Women’s Show returns to the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center from February 6-8, 2009, and show producers have created three jam-packed days filled with ideas, products, tips and expert advice to help women live their best lives right now, even with market conditions.

One of the most highly anticipated events in Savannah, the annual Southern Women’s Show, attracts thousands of local women each year with fashion shows, cooking demonstrations, beauty tips, health screenings, decorating ideas and personal growth opportunities – all tai!ored especially for women – as well as celebrity appearances.

This year’s show also promises more than 300 exhibitors ranging from boutiques and jewelers to travel destinations and health care professionals and making it the perfect one-stop shop for on-the-go women.

While attendees are welcome to window shop, the hands-on, interactive nature of the Southern Women’s Show makes it the perfect opportunity to actually try out new products and services, consult with experts and register for prizes and give-aways.

On-site health screenings will enable women to undergo risk-factor assessments, with blood pressure, hearing tests, cholesterol and bone density checks.

Highlights include: Discover JunkMarket Style. Frequent Today Show contributor Sue Whitney brings her “junk market style” to Savannah. She is regularly seen on HGTV’s “Country Style”, editor-at-Iarge for Country Home Magazine and cc-author of DECORATING JUNKMARKET STYLE (Meredith Books) and the recently published JUNK BEAUTIFUL (Taunton Press). Sue is nationally recognized as one of the leading and most respected authorities on junking.

Catch a Rising Star. The price of admission at the Southern Women’s Show includes a live performance from Nashville-based rising country star Matt Martino. Become a Cooking Goddess. Discover the cooking goddess within on the cooking stage, with ongoing cooking instruction from star chefs, including Aussie in the Kitchen Chef Paul Penney.

Hot Hunks with a Cause. Help raise money for the Southeast Burn Foundation by supporting the Southside Fire Department when they take to the runway for the popular firefighters fashion show.

Show hours are Friday 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. -7 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Admission is $9 at the door, $5 for children 6-12 years old and free for children undero years of age. Readmission tickets are $5. Advance Tickets are available at Chatham Federal Credit Union for $7.50.

Groups of 10 or more can buy tickets in advance for $7 each.
