The Georgia Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is proud to announce the 2014 Savannah Man & Woman of the Year campaign. In the Man & Woman of the Year campaign, candidates compete in honor of local children who are blood cancer survivors: Boy & Girl of the Year. The men and women strive to achieve their personal best by working with their family, friends and contacts to raise as much money as possible for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The titles are awarded to the man and woman who raise the most funds in a tenweek period. The top fundraisers in the country win the national titles.
Last year’s Savannah Man and Woman of the Year winners were Tal Johnson of Dabbs, Hickman, Hill & Cannon LLP and Emily Dickinson of Wet Willie’s Management Corporation. The 2014 Savannah Man & Woman of the Year Nominating Committee is currently recruiting the class of candidates for Savannah. These men and women will be true Champions of Hope by raising much needed funds that
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society uses to further its Mission of finding cures for blood cancers and improving the quality of lives of patients and their families. The 2014 Savannah Man & Woman of the Year campaign and Nominating Committee is chaired by Emily Dickinson of Wet Willie’s Management Corporation and Co- Chaired by Jeff O’Connor of First Citizens Bank. Henry Minis is honorary chair.

The Savannah Man & Woman of the Year campaign will kick off on Thursday, March 27th, 2014 at the Hilton Savannah DeSoto and culminate at a Grand Finale Gala event on Friday, June 6th at the Charles H. Morris Center in historic downtown Savannah. The top candidates that raise the most funds will be announced at the Grand Finale Gala which will feature a silent and live auction, cocktail reception and dinner.
