The Junior League of Savannah received recognition for its Membership Recruitment and Engagement program at the 96th Annual Conference of The Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI), held in Memphis, TN. Fourteen individual Leagues were acknowledged for innovation at the conference, which brought together women from 291 Junior Leagues.
For over 90 years, the Junior League of Savannah has served as the premier woman’s leadership training and community service organization in the region. In an effort to increase membership and enhance the engagement of members, the League reevaluated their new member process with a focus on diversity and inclusion, leadership development, and volunteer service training. Through the one-year new member program, women gain fundamental leadership skills, a deeper knowledge of the communities they serve, and the opportunity to network with likeminded women.
The Junior League of Savannah is currently recruiting new members for the 2018-2019 new membership program and invites all women in the area who are interested in leadership training and community service opportunities to apply.
