The Collegiate 100 Announces Keynote Speaker And Honorees

Collegiate 100 Black Men of Savannah State University (C100), a leader in mentoring and educating youth, announces their 3rd annual Scholarship Gala themed ‘’A Night of Elegance and Success.” The Collegiate 100 is the Collegiate level of the outstanding 100 Black Men of America focusing on helping their communities by engaging in their four pillars; Education, Mentoring, Health and Wellness, and Economic Development.

In order to serve as a beacon of leadership in the community, Collegiate 100 host its Annual Scholarship Gala that celebrates the scholarship of Savannah-Chatham Area students who have excelled in the classroom, professional educators and community members who have contributed to the advancement of education; and to high school seniors with scholarships that can be applied towards their higher education ambitions. The Annual Collegiate 100 Scholarship Gala is on Wednesday April 2, 2014 in the Savannah State University Student Union Ballroom A at 7:30 pm.

This Scholarship Gala is designed to strengthen existing and forge new partnerships between Savannah State University’s (SSU) internal and external stake holders. More importantly it will contribute to SSU’s effort to inform the local community about its role in advancing education beyond its borders. In addition it will help strengthen students’ sense of campus community by showing campus support of the Scholarship Gala.

“Real Men Giving Real Time”, a quote The Collegiate 100 uses to signify their diligence and dedication to their community given their time for the betterment of the youth. They want to display how important it is to support the youth in our community as well as encourage them to pursue higher education. These positive young African American men are setting the standard and wants for everyone in the community to come and enjoy this event.
