The 3rd Annual GSA All Start Senior Football Game will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Ed DeFore Sports Complex on Heath Rd in Macon, Georgia adjacent to Westside High School. Also the GSA Touchdown Club has scheduled a sports rally at The Georgia Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday, December 7, 2013 you can visit the website at www.gsa-sports.com for details. The GSA Football game will feature 106 elite high school seniors from across the state of Georgia, each football player is showcasing his athletic skills and ability to college football recruiters in hopes of gaining a scholarship.
Among the 106 elite high school football players from across the state 9 local players have been chosen to play in the GSA All Star East vs.WestFootballClassic. The players include Julius Johnson, Dawon Love, Willie Cooper and Deavery Smith of A. E. Beach High School, Brenden Carter, Deonta Polite and Jamelle Lanier of H.V. Jenkins High Schol, Jerry Davis, Leroy Williams and Ty Wilson of Groves High School. The 2013 West Division will be lead by Coach Kyle Adkins of Shaw High School in Columbus, Ga and the 2013 East Division will be lead by Savannah’s own Coach Ulysses Hawthorne of A.E. Beach High School.
The Bibb County Board of Commissioners and Macon City Officials endorses the Third Annual GSA All-Star Senior Football Game in Macon, Georgia. They believe that everyone in middle Georgia and across the state should be proud of what has been accomplished over the past few years. The Commissioners and city officials are looking forward to supporting the football game and the efforts made by Georgia Sports Alliance each year. They encourage everyone to come out on Saturday, December 21, 2013 to cheer for both football teams. Our county leaders believe that “all these young men need our support and inspirations, they all have a chance to earn a college scholarship and more than that, they all have an opportunity to become model citizens and community leaders someday.”
