Thankful Missionary Baptist Church’s Third Annual Christian Leadership School (CLS) offers courses designed for church leaders, especially Sunday School teachers, superintendents and ministers.
The Certificate of Progress Program (COPP), sponsored by the Sunday School Publishing Board of the National Baptist Convention produces qualified leaders who will lead church members into the 21st century. This year’s theme is “Planting Seeds, Growing Disciples: The Ministry of Spiritual Formation”. All instructors are fully certified by the National Baptist Convention.
Register now for the session #2, from November 2nd – 6th. Courses will be taught 6:30-8:45 nightly. Dinner will be served from 5:45pm until 6:25pm.
The second session offers: #1007 Introduction to the Old Testament (Phase 1) taught by Pastor Quentin Morris, Sr. will survey the Old Testament providing a general overview of the divisions, time periods, places, events, people and archeology of the New Testament section of the Bible. #9004 Writing Techniques I (Phase 2) taught by Dr. Evelyn Dandy. Emphasis will focus on the development of paragraphs/topic sentences to thesis driven essays. Reading, speaking and writing will be integrated.
