Suspension of Golden Age, Therapeutic and Adult Day Care Program

Out of an abundance of caution, the City of Savannah’s Golden Age, Therapeutic and Adult Day Care Programs will suspend normal operations beginning Monday, March 16, 2020 until further notice. This vulnerable population is at a higher risk of exposure to the coronavirus.

The City of Savannah serves approximately 600 meals daily at 13 sites through the Golden Age Program. On a temporary basis, Golden Age participants who use their own transportation to attend programs may pick up their meals from their designated program site, and participants who currently rely upon City transportation will have meals delivered. No additional persons may enroll in the program at this time.

Changes to youth programming will coincide with the closure policy of the Savannah-Chatham County public school system which is currently following the regular school calendar.
