Prominent attorney Rodney K. Strong will headline The Hungry Club Forum of Savannah, Inc.’s (HCFS) Annual Community Service Appreciation Reception Luncheon, a highlight of the organization’s Annual Meeting, on Saturday May 1, 2010, at 11:30 AM, in the Joe Addison Banquet Center of Geneva Geneva’s Restaurant, located at 2812 Bee Road, near E. Victory Drive.
Strong, Chairman, Griffin & Strong, P.C. of Atlanta will speak on Opportunities for Community and Economic Development in the Reinvestment and Recovery Act, better known as the Stimulus Package.
In May of 2007, Griffin & Strong, P. C. received the “Partner in the Promise” Award from The Coca-Cola Company.
Strong was one of the project principals in the joint venture that worked with The Coca-Cola Company to obtain over 36% Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) participation on the construction of the new World of Coca-cola attraction in downtown Atlanta. Strong’s experience in this area began in 1985 when Mayor Andrew Young appointed him Director of Contract Compliance for the City of Atlanta. While serving in that capacity, he earned the reputation of having developed the most successfully implemented MWBE program in the United States.
Rochelle Small-Toney, Assistant City Manager for Public Development for the City of Savannah and Henry T. Wilfong, President of the National Association of Small Disadvantaged Business will round out the presentations leading into The HCFS’s signature Roundtable and Open Forum.
