The Martin Luther King, Jr. Observation Association, Inc., is pleased to announce the 2013 King Memorial Scholarship Awards Program. All local high school graduating seniors in public or private schools are invited to participate by submitting a 500 word essay typewritten and doublespaced. All applicants must explicate one of the following themes and discuss how it relates to the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. a. “Dreamers Are Believers and Believers Become Achievers ” b. “Unify America By Keeping the Dreamer’s Dream Alive” c. “Honor Your Past;
Change Your Today, Make a Different Future” Complete details and application can be obtained from any high school counselor’s office, at celebrate@mlksavannah. com or by contacting the MLK Office. Completed applications and attachments should be mailed or hand delivered to the office located at 1206 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Savannah, GA 31415. The deadline is March 25, 2013.
