As we all know, Oprah Winfrey will be aired her last show this Wednesday. No one knew what the last show would entail, but Monday and Tuesday’s show featured star-studded appearances from Beyonce to Tom Hanks, and even the Queen of soul herself, Aretha Franklin. Also included in the show were 300 Men from Morehouse College who surprised

Oprah. These Men represent the Oprah Scholars from Morehouse College in Atlanta. Oprah pledged to help fund 100 students’ education back in 1989. This number has grown to 415, and she is still helping the Men of Morehouse this very day. One former Oprah Scholar in attendance was Desmond W. Delk, Health Education Lecturer at Savannah State University. “Not only am I grateful for the scholarship which helped me meet my financial obligation to the college, but I am truly blessed to have been able to show my gratitude to Ms. Winfrey,” Delk exclaimed. “It was a once in a lifetime opportunity; one that I will never forget,” he continued.
