SSU Homecoming Day Parking, Traffic Guidelines

The Savannah State University 2012 homecoming game will begin at 2 p.m., Oct. 20, at T.A. Wright Stadium. Game-day parking and traffic guidelines are outlined below:

General campus parking is $15; students, faculty and staff with valid university parking decals will be allowed to enter campus at no charge.

For the safety of pedestrians, vehicular traffic between the three-way stop sign at the Tompkins Road intersection and LaRoche Ave. will be limited to essential game-day personnel.

The LaRoche Avenue entrance will close at 9 a.m.; game patrons should use the Whatley, Falligant and Jasmine avenue entrances.

The Jasmine entrance will be one-way for incoming traffic only; patrons leaving campus during peak traffic times should use the Falligant or Whatley gates.

Beginning at 9 a.m., Chatham Area Transit shuttles will transport patrons from various campus parking lots to the stadium (visitor side ticket booth) and back at no charge; look for the “Game Day Shuttle” signs.

All shuttle service will end at 7 p.m.
