SSU Golf Finishes Third In Gary Freeman Invitational

Savannah State garnered a third place finish in the 2014 Gary Freeman Invitational, hosted by Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) rival Bethune-Cookman on Monday.

The Tigers shot a two-round team score of 608 (301, 307) over the two day, par 72, tournament played on Halifax Plantation Golf Club in Ormond Beach, Florida. unior Scott Rogers led the Tigers with a second place finish and a two-round total of 146 (75-71). Travis Roe followed Rogers tied for 7th place with a 150 (73, 77).

Trevor Podner shot a 154 (77, 77) to finish tied for 17th. Brandon Neals finished with a 158 (76, 82), while Caleb Simons rounded out the Tigers with a 164.
