

Following their loss to FCS member Bethune-Cookman, the Savannah State football team fell from sixth to tenth in the latest HBCU D2 Top 10 Football Poll.
Savannah State’s drop wasn’t the only shakeup this this week’s poll.
Benedict (2-0) remains on top but Virginia Union (2-0) moves to second from the number three spot. Tuskegee (2-0) goes from #4 to #3 while Bowie State (1-1) drops from #2 to #4. Virginia State (2-0) remains at #5 and Miles (2-0) moved to #6 after defeating Alabama State. Allen (2-0) moves up from #9 to #7 while Fort Valley State (1-1) who was tied for the #10 position with Kentucky State moves up to #8. Central State (1-1) lost over the weekend to Dayton and drops one spot from #8 to #9 while Kentucky State fell out the poll after being blown out by Tuskegee.
