St. Philip Monumental AME Church, 1112 Jefferson St., will hold its Annual Savannah State University Day on Sunday, October 11, 2015 during the 10am worship service.
The speaker for the occasion will be Shelton B. Bowens a native of Oglethorpe in Macon, Georgia. Participants were selected based on criteria recognizing accomplishments in academics, leadership, and civic engagement. Shelton Bowens will serve as a 2015 Students Ambassador for the White House Initiative on HBCUs.
They are delighted to have the melodious voices of the Savannah State University Concert Chorale render a musical presentation.
They extend a cordial invitation to all SSU alumni, friends, and the entire Savannah community to join us as we celebrate Savannah State University Day at St. Philip Monumental AME Church.
