Dever Leaves SSU

Savannah State quarterback Blake Dever has left Savannah State and has transferred to Arkansas State.

The Palm Beach, Florida native played in eight games as a freshmen for SSU during the 2016 season where he threw for 506 yards, two touchdowns and three

 
 
interceptions. He also had -26 yards rushing. Dever’s best game came against Morgan State where he completed 19 of 35 passes for 226 yards and two touchdowns while rushing 10 times for 31 yards.

Dash Wins Big East Long Jump

Dwayne Dash won the long jump title at the 2017 Big East Outdoor Track & Field Championships that was held May 12-13 at Villanova. He also finished sixth in the triple jump (13.67m). It was the second year

 
 
in a row the former Johnson High star won the Big East long jump title. The senior chemistry major won this year’s event with a leap of 7.29m. Last year, Dash had a jump of 7.47m to capture first place. Dash finished fourth in the event his freshman and sophomore seasons.
