Educating and guiding children are tasks that simply cannot be neglected as they are the future. A series of touching stories await young readers in All About Life: A Collection of Children Stories, the new children’s book authored by Dorothy R. Roberts-Futch and released by Xlibris.
Filled with drama and lively il1ustrations, All About Life: A Collection of Children Stories will teach young readers many important lessons that deal with family, friendship, religion, and values.
To introduce the new book to the community, a reception will be held on January 16, 2010, 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Georgia Infirmary Rehabilitation Center. The public is invited to attend to meet and greet the author as she discusses her latest work. Ms. Roberts-Futch will autograph copies of her book during the reception.
Dorothy Rosetta Roberts-Futch (known to her family and friends as “Dot”) was born in Savannah, Georgia to Tillman N. Frazier and Eloise Frazier-Heyward. She is the second oldest daughter of six girls (two deceased). She is a graduate of Alfred E. Beach High School. She is the mother of one adopted daughter, and the grandmother to several grandchildren.
Dorothy recently retired from the Georgia Infirmary Day Care Center where she was employed for 30 years as a physical therapy assistant. She is an active member of Bethel A.M.E. Church where she is a member of the Senior Choir, Stewardess Board #3, and a Sunday School teacher.
For those of you who have not heard or read her works, she has published three volumes of poetry entitled Poetic Expressions from the Heart (Vol. 1, 2 and 3). She has just completed work on her fourth volume of poems which will be available early next year. Her poems are a gift from God, and all tell of life experiences.
Her poem My So-Called Friend in the Bottle has helped many who struggled with additions – physically and spiritually.
