SCCPSS Announces Upcoming ESPLOST Informational Sessions

In November, the Savannah-Chatham County Public School system will have the opportunity to ask for voter approval regarding the continuation of the salestax funded Education Special Local Option Sales Tax (ESPLOST), which is used for the improvement of facilities, technology and student resources.

In an effort to gain community input regarding the plan for ESPLOST II (2012-2016), the district will host open house sessions around the county. The purpose of each informational session is to allow the public the opportunity to view the preliminary plan for ESPLOST II (2012-2016) and provide feedback.

District staff will be present to answer questions related to ESPLOST. The open house sessions will be informal and the public is invited to attend anytime during the open house hours. All meetings will be held from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The schedule is as follows: Thursday, July 21, Islands High School – School Cafeteria; Monday, July 25, Jenkins High School – School Cafeteria; Tuesday, July 26, Woodville- Tompkins – School Cafeteria.
