SCAD, Notre Dame Academy and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic School join to celebrate historic inauguration


 
 

Students from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Notre Dame Academy and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic School join to celebrate the inauguration of the United States’ first African- American president.

More than 150 students and staff from Notre Dame Academy and St. Frances Cabrini Catholic School joined SCAD faculty, staff and students in viewing live national coverage of the oath of office being administered to President-elect Barack Obama and Vice Presidentelect Joseph Biden on the steps of the U.S. Capitol.

Trey Reckling, SCAD’s ombudsman for students, provided welcoming remarks to kick off the event before the live broadcast began on Trustees Theater’s big screen.
