The Savannah Office of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Georgia Chapter announced that the Corporate Campaign for their 2013 Light The Night Walk is set to kickoff on Wednesday, June 19th. Interested parties are welcome to attend the breakfast event, which will be held at the Savannah Morning News Auditorium at 1375 Chatham Parkway in Savannah. A networking reception will be held from 7:30 – 8:00 a.m. and the presentation will begin at 8:00 am and will last one hour. During the breakfast you will learn more about the mission of LLS and how you and your company can participate in Savannah’s Light The Night Walk which will be held on Friday, October 18th at Forsyth Park. If you have never participated in Light The Night, you will find that involvement in the Walk is an uplifting, team-building experience for you and your colleagues, in support of an outstanding organization.
The breakfast is hosted by the 2013 Savannah Light The Night Walk Executive Committee, which is chaired by Celeste Shearouse. Committee Members include: Stephanie Boaen of The Savannah Chamber of Commerce, John Coleman of Bointz of Georgia, Jim Collins of Thomas and Hutton, Bill Dickinson of Wet Willie’s Management Corporation, Holden Hayes of The Savannah Bank, Mark Kolbush of Memorial Health (2014 Light The Night Walk Chairman), Joe Marinelli of Visit Savannah, Tanya Milton of The Savannah Tribune, Josh Setina of Enterprise Holdings, Katie Tidwell of Seacrest Partners, Michael Traynor of Savannah Morning News and O.C. Welch of O.C. Welch Ford.
Every four minutes, someone is diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease or myeloma. Every ten minutes, someone dies as a result of one of these blood cancers. Supporting Light The Night and LLS is an easy way to improve the journey of patients from diagnosis through survivorship, and also helps fund critical blood cancer research to bring about better treatments – and ultimately cures – for these devastating diseases. Together, we can make a tremendous impact on the lives of cancer patients in Savannah and across the United States.
The 2013 Savannah Light The Night Walk is generously supported by Silver Sponsors: Wells Fargo, Seacrest Partners and the Courtney Knight Gaines Foundation; and by Media Sponsors: Savannah Morning News, WTOC, News Radio WTKS and 98.7 The River.
