Savannah Wine Cellar will be hosting a special charity wine tasting with Miss Black Georgia & the American Diabetes Association on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Twelve Oaks Shopping Center on Abercorn Street from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. Suggested donation to attend is $15 per person or $25 per couple and includes the tasting of several wines and appetizers provided by BoneFish Grill and Gigi’s Cupcakes.
The wine tasting will include a meet & greet with Miss Black Georgia, Jordan Riles. Ms. Riles, who is a local reporter for WJCL, will be competing in the Miss Black USA Pageant in August. One of the tenets of her platform is Diabetes Awareness so she and the Savannah Cellar have teamed up to raise money for the American Diabetes Association. Proceeds will benefit the Association’s 2013 Kissa Pig Campaign.
Kiss-a-Pig is a unique fundraising event that pits local community leaders against each other in a contest to raise votes (each dollar equals one vote) for their campaigns.
All funds raised during the Kiss-a-Pig campaign benefit American Diabetes Association, the nation’s leading organization to curing diabetes and improving the lives of all people affected by diabetes.
