The Savannah State University “Coastal Empire Sound Explosion” will host its first marching band camp for middle and high school students June 19-25, 2011.
During the weeklong camp, students will learn the basic fundamentals of marching, showmanship, musicianship and leadership. Participants will take part in a community performance on the final day of camp.
The residential camper fee of $250 includes three meals a day, instruction, a camp T-shirt and campus lodging. Commuter campers will pay a fee of $110, which includes lunch, instruction and a camp T-shirt.
