The Savannah State University National Alumni Association (SSUNAA) has been working tirelessly in the last few months campaigning and planning to strengthen the association.
On Saturday, May 30th, election results were finalized and a new leadership team was established. With pleasure, the SSUNAA announces the newest executive board and leaders ready to take the association to greater levels of excellence and involvement.

In his acceptance remarks, SSUNAA National President, Mr. Roy L. Jackson, announced three major goals for the National Alumni Association over the next two years. 1) A 500,000 fundraising goal, 2) a student recruitment/retention goal of 1,000 college level prepared students and, 3) an alumni recruitment goal of 2,500 new active alumni.
Jackson stated that, in addition to all of the other challenges confronting the university and the association, these goals are necessary and obtainable.
He has challenged all alums to contact the national alumni association and get involved. “The year you graduated is not a concern, it’s a plus,” he said.
Mrs. Alvernia Jackson has been appointed as the Alumni Facilitator/ Liaison between the SSUNAA and Savannah State University. Please be advised that all official contact for information and other alumni business should be channeled through the Alumni Facilitator/Liaison or the National President.
