The Savannah State University College of Sciences and Technology and the university’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) 360 activity will host the inaugural COST-STEM Awareness and Career Advisement Day from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 25, on Felix-Alexis Circle. The event is free and open to the public.
Awareness and advisement day participants can explore STEM-related booths and enjoy hands-on projects and activities, including construction of a mousetrap car and water rocket, LEGO robot and underwater remotely operated vehicle challenges and campus bike tours. Held in conjunction with the second annual USA Science and Engineering Festival, the event aims to highlight COST degree programs at SSU, provide career advice for undergraduates and increase overall awareness of STEM fields in the Savannah-Chatham community.
