Tiffany Blake has big plans. She dreams of working in film and television – moving to Los Angeles, New York or Atlanta and becoming a producer. And SCAD is helping her dreams come true. For the second year running Tiffany is the recipient of the Ben Tucker Endowed Scholarship, a scholarship grant in honor of Savannah jazz great Ben Tucker and awarded annually to an African-American student from the Savannah/Chatham County area. On Saturday, February 4, Tiffany and other scholarship winners will be honored at the 2012 SCAD Scholarship Gala at the SCAD Museum of Art.
Twenty-five year old Tiffany has spent almost all her life in Savannah. Her roots run deep – her paternal family goes back to 1886 in Valdosta State University “I am honored to be a Savannah and her maternal but it was just a matter of native of Savannah,” says family relocated here from time before she returned Tiffany. “Savannah’s rich Richmond Hill in 1938. A home to continue her education culture adds to my creativity graduate of Sol C. Johnson and pursue her Master’s – it’s inspiring.” High School in Savannah, degree in Film and Tiffany left the city to go to Television studies at SCAD.
