As the holiday season approaches, Savannah iDoctor is happy to announce their inaugural One Warm Coat Drive event benefitting the Old Savannah Mission.
In collaboration with One Warm Coat Drive, a nonprofit organization that organizes and supports coat drives across the country, Savannah iDoctor is taking donations of winter coats, scarves, gloves, etc. from now until December 20.
Allison Mol, owner of Savannah iDoctor, says that her inspiration for setting up the coat drive was realizing that she could use her business platform and voice in the community as a way to help those less fortunate this holiday season.
“I realized I had an overflow of coats that our large family had grown out of,” said Mol. “I decided to give them to someone that needs to stay warm this winter that probably cannot afford the expense of buying new for their family.”
The Old Savannah Mission was thrilled to receive the news that Savannah iDoctor would be hosting a coat drive in their honor.
“We are always happy to accept donations, especially this time of the year,” said Connell Stiles, Assistant Director of Development at the Old Savannah Mission. “The coats will help make someone’s life a little more comfortable this winter season.”
To make donations to the One Warm Coat Drive, you can drop off gently used coats and winter wear at the empty fountain located at the Savannah iDoctor store location at 140 Johnny Mercer Blvd. Wilmington Island.
Savannah iDoctor will be offering 10 percent off to customers who donate to the coat drive. For more information, call Allison Mol at 912.398.0303 or visit them online at savannahidoctor.com.
