The Savannah Gospel Music Hall of Fame extends an invitation to the Savannah Community to join them on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at 6 p.m. for their 12th Celebration. The Celebration will be held at New Salem Community Fellowship Church, 115 West 40th Street, Nathaniel Small, Sr. Pastor. The 2008 Inductees are Deacon

Odell English, Jr., Bishop Bill Gilbert, Sister Barbara Green McCoy, Sister Dorothy Dixon Pitts, The Rose Bud Singers, Gospel Crusaders, Golden Stars and The Mell Rose Singers.

A time of celebration and also a time of thanksgiving for the gift that was shared for so many years in our city and other areas.

A reception will be held for our inductees on Saturday, August 30th, 5 p.m. at the Ralph Mark Gilbert Museum where a special ceremony and unveiling of their pictures will take place.

This will be our “Second Year” in giving out Scholarship Applications to those who are attending or will be attending a

four or two year Institution. One of the endeavors of the organi- zation is to give back to our community by helping a young lady or young man to further their education.
