Savannah Chapter Gospel Music Workshop of America

The Savannah Chapter of the Gospel Music Workshop of America, Inc. (GMWA) invites you, our beloved brothers and sisters in the Savannah gospel community, to be a part of an international organization of singers, musicians, choir directors, and those who are interested in preserving gospel music.

Founded by the late Rev. James Cleveland, the GMWA’s main focus is to promote church music and is a platform for upcoming songwriters, arrangers, and recording artists.

The mass choir meets on the second Saturday of each month at First Smryna Missionary Baptist Church located on Burroughs Street between 31st and 32nd Streets at 6:00 p.m. Please join us for our first rehearsal of 2013 on January 12th at 6pm. Contact Vera Jennings at 912.655-9562 for additional information.

For the younger generation, the Savannah Youth & Young Adult Choir, the youth division of the Savannah Chapter of GMWA, is also petitioning all youth in Christ from ages 13 to 25 to join in fellowship.

Please join us for our a membership interest meeting/rehearsal at 6 pm on January 14th at Fairlawn Baptist Church located at 4717 Augusta Road in Garden City (next to Groves and Early College High Schools).
