On Sunday, February 23, at 4 pm, the Savannah Branch NAACP will hold its Mass Meeting at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church located at 1401 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
Members of Savannah City Council have been invited to share their views of the first sixty days of a new majority and to speak on improving relationships between the community and City Government.
Because Council members have recently attended a conference of Municipal Governments of Georgia in Atlanta, and have met with members of our local legislative delegation, they will be asked to share what they learned from the meetings.
New voting machines will be displayed at the Mass Meeting for a hands-on demonstration. There will also be a census update.
The meeting is open to the public. For more information, call the NAACP office at 912-233- 4161 or visit www.savnaacp.com.
