Savannah Bee Company Opens New Location on Broughton Street!


 
 

The Savannah Development and Renewal Authority (SDRA) hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for The Savannah Bee Company Honey House on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at 104 W Broughton Street.

Incorporated in 2002 in Savannah, Georgia, Savannah Bee is internationally admired for its rare artisanal honeys, natural and body care and other hive products. The company’s mission is to provide pure, rare, delectable honey and luxurious hive products while educating people about the wonders of the honey bee. The company’s business philosophy is based on quality and environmental responsibility. The company wants its products to “soothe, inspire, and make our customers healthier”.

The event was emceed by Alderman Van Johnson and featured presentations from representatives from the City of Savannah, the Savannah Development and Renewal Authority, the Downtown Business Association the Small Business Assistance Corporation, and the Chamber of Commerce.

Since 2000, the Broughton Street Corridor has experienced a gain of 149 new businesses creating 664 new jobs and private investment of more than $162 million in acquisitions and improvements.
