This event will celebrate the five-year anniversary of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Savannah Marathon
More than 20,000 runners from all 50 states and 21 countries will take over the streets of Savannah . The race returns this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, November 7 – 8, 2015 and will celebrate five years of running. Enjoy the Health and FitnessExpo to be held Thursday and Friday, November 5 & 6th at the International Trade & Convention Center.
This year Rock ‘n’ Roll Savannah will debut a new marathon course. The marathon, half marathon and two-person half marathon relay will start at Bay Street and Bull Street and finish at Forsyth Park. Both courses will take runners on a tour of downtown Savannah, through charming town squares, historical buildings and under canopies of Spanish moss covered trees.
The event will once again feature twodays of running with the marathon, half marathon and two-person half marathon relay on Saturday and the Rock ‘n’ Roll 5K and 1 Mile run on Sunday. Participants can take the “Remix Challenge” by running any distance on Saturday and either the 5K or 1 Mile on Sunday and they will earn the coveted Remix Challenge medal in addition to each race’s finisher medals. KiDS ROCK also returns on Sunday.
Live bands, cheerleaders and thousands of spectators will line the course to help motivate runners to the finish line. Upon finishing, participants are invited to relax and celebrate with family and friends at the post race Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Concert Series headlined by Rascal Flatts.
