Young women in 5-12 grades who are interested in the RISE Chorale are invited to attend one of two Open Rehearsals on August 19 and 26 from 3-5 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 520 Washington Avenue.
Prospective members are encouraged to both rehearsals, but must attend at least one to be considered for membership in the 2018/2019 season.
A brief Parent’s Meeting will be held Sunday, August 26 at 5 p.m. immediately following the rehearsal to communicate details on the membership process, the upcoming season and more.
RISE Chorales seeks to revolutionize the choral music experience. Through singing excellence and music literacy, young women foster deeper relationships and inspire personal growth, and give back to our communities through meaningful service.
With a vision of “sing, socialize and serve”, singers participate in weekly rehearsals and workshops and frequent community performances, and also take an annual performance tour and college visit. Young women socialize, developing deeper relationships with other young women from across the community through annual retreats, parties and traditions, and they serve by identifying meaningful service partners and engaging in collaborative community events.
The Chorale meets and rehearses weekly on Sunday afternoons.
