In a recent ribbon cutting ceremony the Savannah- Chatham County Public School System marked the opening of the new classroom wing at Largo-Tibet Elementary School. Members of the public, elected officials, Largo-Tibet students, staff and faculty, SCCPSS Administration, and members of the Savannah-Chatham County Board of Public Education were all present to acknowledge the dedicated individuals committed to the on-time completion of this brand new, multi-million dollar facility.

This ESPLOST funded project boasts over 13,200 square feet with 12 new classrooms constructed to support technology, safety, and communication systems. The new free-standing addition will welcome students to the start of the new 2012- 2013 school year on Monday, Aug. 27.

Largo-Tibet Elementary is home to the International Baccalaureate Program and will continue to serve PK-5th grade students who reside within the surrounding community and the supporting attendance zone.
