Rev. Stanford L. Anderson, I, preaches the Fourth Anniversary sermon of Rev. Terrance L. Burrell, Sr., Sunday, February 19, 2017, 10:00 a.m., 509 W. Gwinnett Street, Savannah, GA. Rev. Anderson, a native of Ocilla, Georgia, is known for Kingdom visionary building. He has been a servant of the Lord since the age of seven. Pastor Anderson received his formal religious education from Bryant Theological Seminary, Fitzgerald, Georgia and Beulah Heights Bible College, Atlanta, Georgia, and an Honorary Doctor of Divinity degree in April 2016 from Saint Thomas Christian University, Jacksonville, Florida.

Pastor Anderson has been spreading the gospel for forty-five years. He has served as Pastor of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, Richmond Hill, Georgia since July 2005 and Pastor of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Hazlehurst, Georgia since 1981. In 2013 he was appointed and presently serves as the President of First District of the General Missionary Baptist Convention of GA, Inc.

Other honors include 2010 “Outstanding Shepherd Award” from Vision Magazine; the recipient of the Distinguished Christian Award and pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 2007.

Pastor Anderson is married to the former Dorothy Y. Jay, and they are proud parents of two children, Stanford II and Faith.
