State Representative Carl Gilliard (D-Garden City) was recently appointed by Governor Brian Kemp to serve on the Georgia Film, Music, and Digital Entertainment Commission.
“I am honored to be appointed to this important commission,” said Rep. Gilliard. “Georgia’s entertainment industry continues to have a tremendous economic impact in our state and creates jobs for Georgians. I believe that my work with Urban Media and the Gilliard Foundation will provide me with a unique perspective on the commission, and I look forward to serving with my colleagues as we work to keep Georgia the ‘Hollywood of the South.’”
Rep. Gilliard, and the other appointees to the commission, were sworn-in as commission members on Wednesday, November 13, 2019.
