The American Cancer Society Relay For Life® of Chatham County gives everyone in the community a chance to help the organization save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays. The Relay For Life Committee of Chatham County recently announced the Relay For Life of Chatham County theme for 2012, “Get Off the Sidelines and Get in the Game”.
Teams are forming now and you can register your team today by visiting RelayForLife.org/chathamcounty or by calling 912- 355-5196.
Former and current cancer patients, those who have lost a loved one to cancer, families, businesses, faith-based and civic organizations, and anyone wanting to make a difference in the fight against cancer are invited to take part in this exciting team event. Relay For Life takes place from 7:00 PM on Friday, May 4 until 7:00 AM on Saturday, May 5 at Benedictine Military School.
“Relay For Life draws attention to the progress being made in the fight against cancer,” said Nancy Bracker, Chatham County volunteer Relay team recruitment chair. “Many participants are our family, friends, and neighbors who have faced cancer themselves. Their involvement helps brings hope that, together, we can eliminate cancer as a major health problem.”
