Regina Thomas Throws Hat Into 2019 Mayoral Race for City of Savannah


Former State Legislator Regina Thomas announced her bid for mayor of the City of Savannah last Friday at the corner of East 37th St. and Waters Ave. With over 20 years of leadership experience in government, she is poised to become a strong candidate for office.

Mrs. Thomas says that her campaign will be focused on “issues not persons or personalities.” She is vowing to be the candidate for ALL citizens in Savannah. Her platform includes plans to target crime, expand economic opportunities and provide services for seniors and youth. She also to help our education has goals to build partner ships system, neighborhoods and special needs citizens.

Mrs. Thomas is truly a renaissance candidate, reaching across all demographics and neighborhoods. No matter the zip code, she wants to use the office of Mayor to represent you. In an effort to connect with all citizens, Mrs. Thomas will be making her announcement in four different locations across the city.. The second announcement will be held in the Hudson Hill vicinity on Saturday, February 16th at 10a.m. The third announcement will be held in the Downtown area and the 4th will be on the Southside of Savannah. Dates, locations and times will be announced at a later time.
