Christopher Ray, a partner at Oliver Maner LLP, was recently appointed to a second term on the Investigative Panel of the State Disciplinary Board for the State Bar of Georgia.
The panel investigates ethical complaints against attorneys. Ray has served on the board since 2006.
Ray is a litigation attorney who focuses on commercial litigation and medical malpractice defense.
He joined Oliver Maner LLP in 1999 after serving four years in the U.S. Army as a captain in the JAG Corps, where he practiced as a military prosecutor at courts martial and as a special assistant U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Georgia.
Since 2007, Ray has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America and has been named a Rising Star as one of the best young lawyers in Georgia since 2005.
He is a member of the Defense Research Institute and Georgia Defense Lawyers Association, and is a life fellow of the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia.
In addition to being admitted to the state bars of New York and Georgia, Ray is admitted to practice before all federal and state courts in Georgia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces and the Supreme Court of the United States.
He is a graduate of Princeton University and Fordham Law School.
