Hundreds gathered on last Saturday to protest the “Not Guilty” verdict for George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin murder case. The rally was organized by Rev. Terrance L. Burrell, Sr., pastor of Connor’s Temple Baptist Church and Rev. Clarence Williams and the First Tabernacle Baptist Church and other ministers and citizens of the community. The peaceful rally and march was held to seek justice for the Martin Family and all others who have been failed by our justice system.
The rally started at the corner of Gwinnett and MLKing, Jr. Blvd and moved to City Hall then to Wright Square. The ministers prayed along with the participants. Local political and community leaders delivered messages to the gathering. Other protests are scheduled throughout the country.
