Public Invited To Vote For Best City Hall Art


The City of Savannah received 83 submissions in the College Art Contest for original student artwork depicting the beauty of Savannah’s historic City Hall. Students from Savannah Technical College, Armstrong Atlantic State University and Savannah College of Art & Design participated. Members of the public can now cast an online vote to help select the best pieces to feature in an upcoming special exhibit highlighting this important landmark building. The gallery of submissions is available at www.savannahga. gov/ArtContest. To cast your vote for your favorite submission, simply view the piece and click the “thumbs up” icon in the upper right corner. Voting will be open to the public through Thursday, Dec. 19.

The City is holding a second art contest for high school student artwork depicting the beauty of our historic City squares and parks for another City Hall exhibit. This contest is open to all Chatham County high school students and submissions will be accepted through January 31, 2014.
