Program Offers Mentorship and Workshops For College Readiness

Savannah State University (SSU) and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will host the third annual Black Male Summit on Friday, February 24. The program will run from 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on the SSU campus. Workshops and presentations will focus on college and career readiness, professional image, relationships and peer pressure. There will also be a tie giveaway, door prizes, campus tour, and more. Lunch is included for the participants. Additionally, a number of community organizations and leaders will be in attendance.

The event will attract up to 200 middle and high school students in the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS). Students are able to sign up for the program through their guidance counselors and principals.
