President Obama hits the the fundraising trail and puts campaigning on hold.
It is a good possibility that the president could raise 3.6 million or more.
He is scheduled to attend a myriad of fundraisers in Maryland and Pennsylvania, six in total. The president will make stops in Owings Mills and Baltimore Maryland. Next, its off to Philadelphia for three fundraisers at the Franklin Institute.
The Obama Victory Fund will receive the proceeds. The fund is a partnership between the Obama reelection campaign, numerous state Democratic parties and the Democratic National Committee.
Romney, who recently held a fundraiser in Orlando, Florida, is set to appear at some fundraisers.
So far he has managed to sell about 150 tickets and raised about $3 million in a previous fundraiser held in Atlanta. Romney heads to Franklin, Tennessee next for more fundraising.
Obama started off in the race for campaign funds ahead of the pack, but Romney has put himself ahead of the race by raising $76.8 million in May. Obama raised $60 million in May.
