Some Enchanted Evening


The City of Savannah along with Parker’s Convenience Stores were proud sponsors of the 2012 Picnic in the Park held on last Sunday in Forsyth Park. Large crowds turned out for a lovely evening. Many participated in the Picnic Contest with the theme “One Enchanted Evening”.

Greg Parker with Parker’s convenience stores introduced Mayor Edna Jackson along with Aldermen Van Johnson and Tony Thomas to the stage for remarks. He also

presented the new Parker’s mascot, “Chewy” to the picnic audience. Picnic Competition

PICNIC CONTEST WINNERS included HOMIEST: “The Wiz” — Carolyn Lance

1st place: “The Snow Palace” — Patra Rickman

2nd place: “Ali Baba and the 40 Thieves” — Joyce Piersanti and 3rd place: “The Mad Hatter Tea Party” — Lisa James
