Patriots Take On Eagles In Super Bowl 52

32 NFL teams began the 2017 football season. All had hopes and dreams of making it to Super Bowl 52, but only two teams remain. The New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles will go head to head in Minnesota. The two previously met in Super Bowl 39 where the Eagles lost 24-21.

The New England Patriots stamped their tickets to Super Bowl 52 by defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars in a stunning comeback win in the 4th quarter. The Eagles high stepped their way the Super Bowl in a blowout win against the Minnesota Vikings.

The big stage of a Super Bowl is nothing new for Tom Brady and the Patriots. The Patriots were in Super Bowl 51, where they defeated the Atlanta Falcons after falling behind 28-3. This is also Tom Brady’s 8th Super Bowl appearance and the Patriots 10th. No other franchise has been to more than eight Super Bowls. The Patriots have won five of the previous seven Super Bowls only losing to the New York Giants in Super Bowls 42 and 46.

While the newcomers, the Philadelphia Eagles, are searching for their first Super Bowl. The Eagles were the surprise of the NFL, earning the number one seed in the NFC. The Eagles were a Super Bowl favorite until starting quarterback, Carson Wentz tore his ACL ending his season. Eagles backup quarterback Nick Foles took over helping send the Eagles to Super Bowl 52. Only nine teams have won the Super Bowl.

If the Patriots defeat the Eagles they would tie for the most Super Bowl titles at six. Super Bowl 52 will take place Feb. 4th at 6:30 on NBC.
